About Swimming Drive
This Blog is dedicated to the sports of swimming in India. For the past some years, I have been intricately involved with the sports thanks to efforts undertaken by my two sons.
Taking the kids to one swimming session after another has given me an insight on what it takes to be winner in this sport. And I have realised that it does take a lot!
Yet, the singular biggest is the seeming lack of support and interest from the authorities in particular and the general populace at large. Swimming events are seldom given preference in terms of coverage. Ace swimmers in India will hardly be known beyond the swimming community.
This blog is but an attempt to highlight and chronicle the various aspects of this sports, be it training or competitions. Using the learning from the kids, here’s an attempt to chronicle the sports at ground zero, or more appropriately at the pool.
